New Year, New Work & Golden Students

Well this is super late but happy new year lovelies!! Got it in whilst it's still January, just! Hope you're all super well.

Just wanted to share some insights into what's coming up on here this year. Also, now that the gold leaf course has been available since late November, I'm so excited to share some golden students work with you. It's been awesome getting such amazingly lovely feedback about the course as well as getting to see what golden projects you've been getting up to.

So I'm definitely planning to share much more DIY and upcycling with you this year, I've always got a few projects going on but have a habit of just getting stuck in and moving on to the next, without sharing. If there's anything you'd like to see or any questions you have, please let me know.

I'm also going to get the gold leaf mural panels sorted and available to purchase soon, as well as commission panels. And there are some hand finished gold leaf bird prints coming to the shop.

Sooooo, the bit I'm super excited about, if you follow me on instagram you might have seen these shots already. I love how different all these projects are, gold leaf is so versatile and I never run out of things to turn gold. I've definitely got some of you addicted to gold! Not sorry!

Love this beautiful artwork by @alicecpaints she only started painting in the first lockdown, clearly so talented. She completed my course to improve her gold leaf technique and I'm so happy she did!

@paintthetownpastel went for it big time after completing my course, this is just one flight of her many stairs! What an amazing job, wouldn't they make you smile every single day!

@curious_aliceejg has properly got the bug for wanting to turn everything golden. She completed this previously plain white planter during the course and then went on to create this beautiful line drawing of her gran. She also tried out the golden drip technique on her brush pot. She has plans for much, much bigger things!

@julesyzaltz took on this intricate gold leaf leopard print and created this absolutely beautiful and now totally unique mirror. Isn't it stunning!

I really think these few examples show how varied your gold leaf projects can be, the opportunities to use it are just endless! Being able to give things you already own a new, unique, luxe look is one of my favourite things about it. Please keep sharing your projects with me, absolutely love seeing them and sharing them over on instagram too. If you'd like to glow up your golden skills this year, check out the course, and let me know if you have any questions about it.

Massive thanks for sharing your work golden guys!

Lots of love,

Lara xx
